Meet the Team

Smokey Mark is the sports voice of Northeastern Wyoming bringing his distinctive energy over the airwaves as he broadcasts football, volleyball, and basketball games for Hulett, Moorcroft, Sundance, Upton, and Wright high schools. Smokey has supported 23 years of local athletes through his engaging sports broadcasts.

Mark is the voice of the Belle Fourche Broncs football team and brings his great voice to radio as the basketball broadcaster for Belle Fourche and Newell. He and Smokey work together to ensure broad coverage of as many games as possible. In real-life, Mark and his wife Debra, own and operate the Leverington Funeral Home of the Northern Hills.

Tune in each weekday for Karl’s community-based morning show. Karl is a retired U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander. He started his radio career playing classical music on a Navy ship and eventually made his way to South Dakota in May of 1988. Karl operated KYDT and KBFS as “The Country Twins” for 33 years and now holds down the operation as the morning show host and in-house radio expert.

Miss Elsie is the glue that holds the station together. She’s the friendly voice that answers the phone and calls for the advertising that allows the station to stay on the air. Most importantly, she does her best to keep Karl on track!

Christine is a BS specialist, that is to say, she is the one around here who takes care of the Bull Sales! Christine is also a devoted patriot, a mother, and an animal lover.
