TriState Communications, the owner of Dirt Road Radio and Patriot Radio, simulcasts its’ programming on two stations in order to make our content more available to everyone within our listening area! You can find us on either AM or FM – PLUS! As a bonus, you can live stream the broadcast from anywhere with internet access right here on our website, from your Alexa device, or from your phone!

KBFS 1450-AM has been broadcasting since 1959 as a 1,000 Watt AM station. The satellite dishes are located right outside of our studio at 707 Harding Street in Belle Fourche, South Dakota.

KYDT 103.1-FM went on the air in 1997. The tower is located on top of Warren Peak in Sundance, Wyoming running 25,000 watts.

Dirt Road Radio is our daytime programming. The daily focus is on the community and our listeners are always our top priority which is why we try to bring only programs with real content. We provide local coverage in six communities brought to you by familiar voices, weather, and news from the tri-state region of South Dakota, Montana, and Wyoming as well as national news. We also provide support to our agriculture producers with market reports, livestock and bull sales, and programs related to living in the country. For our sportsmen, we offer daily updates on hunting and fishing. For sports enthusiasts, we run NASCAR, NFL, the University of Wyoming, South Dakota State University, and live local sports coverage.

In 2021, the stations shifted from talk radio to Red Dirt country music with an infusion of Wyoming artists like Chancey Williams, Ian Munsick, and Kellen Smith.

Patriot Radio is our evening and through-the-night programming. Patriot Radio includes programs that provide dialogue, news, and more for conservatives. Furthermore, we provide political coverage with shows such as the Mike Gallagher Show, the Armed American Daily Defense, and Wyoming rancher Reid Rosenthal’s The Right Side.

On Saturday’s the programming focuses on agriculture and the great outdoors with fresh perspectives from people in the industry. Shows include Back to the Bakken, Under the Hood, Ag/Outdoor Issues, Northwest Outdoors, Clear Out West, Ranch It Up, Around the Bend, the Working Ranch Radio Show and more!

On Sundays, the focus is on honoring the Lord’s Day and classic country. We kick things off with the Sunday Morning Coming Down show featuring songs embracing faith, family, and patriotism. Red Steagall comes next followed by Classic Country Sunday brought to you live from KGHL in Billings, Montana. After the noon news, tune in for Spirit of the West, and When Radio Was.

There are so many more programs that it would be nonsense to name them all; especially since the best way to find out what Dirt Road Radio and Patrio Radio has to offer is by tuning in!
